You may have already seen the post, however I will continue to remind everyone. On Wed., June 20th, @ 7:30 @ Parsons C...
The Conservation Commission will host 2 ( and possibly a 3rd) guest speakers. These are directors of the Trust for Public Land, New England - a non - profit consulting group. They will come prepared to share with us success stories that they have had mentoring various cities throughout New England in organizing themselves in productive ways that result in restoring, improving and maintaining their parks.
A key element to all of this will be discussions on funding this work. The TPL park restoration program has been accomplished successfully many times and continues to grow.
We will be given an opportunity to accept help from TPL to help us get on track in Milford.
I think we should accept it enthusiastically. I don't see any reason why Milford's nature lovers shouldn't learn to play nice, get our shared goals accomplished and build on success.
Milford has incredible resources at it's finger tips -- both natural and community. Isn't it time we met outside the sandbox, agreed to stop to throwing stuff at each other and promised to work together to build beautiful castles?
